Election pledges for planet-friendly farming
22 September 2009

Gordon Brown has until June 2010 to hold a general election. And the political parties are already planning how to win our votes.

Over 240 MPs have already backed plans to fix the food chain - and this is a fantastic opportunity to get their parties to follow their lead.

Each party is putting together an election manifesto - the plan of action they're committed to if they win.

Pledge for planet-friendly farming

We want all the political parties to put our key demands in their manifesto:

  • A new law
To measure and reduce the impact of our meat and dairy consumption.
  • Sort out subsidies
Make sure that European subsidies support planet-friendly farming.
  • Protect farmers
Introduce a watchdog to protect farmers from supermarket bullying.

Press for change

Please ask your MP to publicly support our key demands in their party's manifesto.
