Fix the Food Chain - next steps
11 June 2009

Over the past few months thousands of supporters like you have asked their MP fix the food chain.

You've been asking them to sign Early Day Motion (EDM) 845.

Signing this parliamentary petition shows their concern over the damaging impacts of Britain's intensive meat and dairy system.

Well over 200 MPs have now signed up - but we still need to keep up the pressure.

Has my MP signed?

Check the list of MPs that have signed EDM 845.

If your MP isn't on the list please ask them to sign.

Some of you will still be waiting for a response to your first email or postcard. If you don't hear soon please write back and ask them for a response.

Or if they've already told you they won't sign please read our short action guide (PDF† 102KB) for tips on how to respond.

My MP has signed - what do I do next?

Even if your MP has already signed you can get them to go further.

To help raise the political profile of the Food Chain Campaign we need MPs to publicly say they support us.

This is an extra step beyond signing the EDM - and will increase the chances of getting your MP to take even stronger action in the near future.

We would also like you to ask them to raise your concerns with Defra - the government department that deals with farming issues.

Please ask your MP to support the Food Chain Campaign today
