Ask Sainsburys to keep our food GM-free

Dear Sainsbury's,
I am concerned that Morrisons has recently changed its policy on GM-fed poultry meat and eggs. I want to ask you to not follow Morrisons example and to keep your ban on the use of GM animal feed for the production of poultry meat and eggs.
I want to avoid all GM products throughout the food chain. Loopholes in labelling legislation mean that I don't always know when my meat and dairy has been fed on GM animal feed, as these products are not labelled as GM.
I know that some of your meat and dairy products are produced from non-GM fed animals, but I urge you to ensure that all of the foods on your shelves are GM free, and that all animal products are produced without the use of GM feed.
I am also extremely concerned about the wider impacts of soy on the environment and communities overseas, and that the Round Table on Responsible Soy (RTRS), of which you are a member, will fail to address these impacts.
Please can you provide me with any evidence that the RTRS is driving sustainable soy production? If this cannot be provided then Sainsbury's should resign as a member of the RTRS.
We must find alternatives to imported soy. I urge Sainsbury's to support UK farmers to grow their own animal feeds and create demand for grass-fed and extensive livestock systems.
Please let me know what steps you are taking to ensure that meat and dairy on your shelves is totally GM-free, and that it supports planet-friendly livestock farming in the UK.
