When you buy a new fridge, you probably look for an energy-efficient model. By law, this information must be shown clearly on the label.
You take these labels for granted and you trust what you read. But this kind of information could be about to be taken away from you.
A proposal to outlaw energy-efficiency labelling is on the table at the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in Hong Kong in December.
More than 200 similar measures have been put forward at this meeting. Unless we act fast, these talks could result in our losing access to green information on a huge range of products.
