Friends of the Earth groups and activists from around the world met in Bonn to build a lifeboat.
Constructed from thousands of your messages - it represents the depth of global concern about climate change.

Its purpose was simple - rescue the climate talks and encourage world leaders to reach agreement.
The boat remained outside the conference centre during a crucial stage of negotiations on a key treaty on climate change - the Kyoto Protocol.
An historic agreement on action to tackle climate change was finally reached on 23rd July 2001.
