Climate

Big Ask. Big Month. Big Lobby.

Over half of all MPs in all parties now support The Big Ask climate change campaign.

This is because tens of thousands of people have written to their MP about the need for a climate change bill.

At gigs and festivals, in offices and the Houses of Parliament – you’ve all been helping us spread the word.

Big Month

In November the Government sets out its to-do list for the next parliamentary session in the Queen’s Speech.  We need MPs to call for a climate change bill to be on that list.

It’s the Cabinet who makes the final decision – and they’ll only include a climate change bill if they feel the heat from all 646 MPs.

That’s why, during September and October this year, we’ll be asking you to talk to your MP.

Big Lobby

Now, before you run away and hide under a blanket – remember this.

MPs are there to represent you. This is their job. They’re used to meeting with constituents.

They don’t expect you to be an expert on climate change. It’s enough just to tell them you want them to take action.

In the run up to September, we’ll be sending you more information about how to take part in Big Ask Big Month Big Lobby, including a step by step guide to hooking up with your MP.

We want to make sure we reach every single MP across the whole country. To do this we need the support of as many of you as possible.
