Dear Mr Cameron,

I, along with dozens of national organisations and hundreds of thousands of individuals, welcome the Climate Change Bill. It is a ground breaking piece of legislation. However it still needs to be strengthened if the UK is going to play its part in tackling climate change. I note that a recent UN Human Development Report and scientists from the Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution have stated the Bill must: a) have a 2050 emissions reduction target of at least 80%, and b) include the UK share of international aviation and shipping emissions. I am therefore writing to you to ask you to please support these changes to the Bill so we can have a world leading piece of legislation that ensures the UK is doing what is required to alleviate dangerous levels of climate change.
