Trade Justice Parade Rally

Supporters of over twenty organisations arrived in Trafalgar Square to listen to Ed Sweeney, Chair of the TUC International Development Group, Sergio Cobo of Fomento, a Mexican grassroots organisation, and Naomi Klein, author of 'No Logo'.

The challenge for social justice movements is to connect economic inequality with the security concerns that now grip us all - insisting that justice and equality are the most sustainable strategies against violence and fundamentalism.

A huge banner was unfurled over the heads of protesters.

This blown-up image was then presented to Patricia Hewitt on Tuesday 6 November by representatives of the Trade Justice Movement to remind her, when she negotiated in Doha, of what UK citizens were demanding.
