Regional Strategies

Friends of the Earth have been extensively involved with the formation of various regional strategies and will continue to campaign to ensure that 'sustainability' is at the core.

Voice of the Region

The Yorkshire and Humber Regional Environment Forum (YHREF) was formed in 2001 to coordinate and represent the views of a wide range of conservation and environmental organisations within the Region. Its core purpose is to provide a representative of the environmental sector to sit on the Yorkshire & Humber Assembly. The YHREF is a collective of 22 statutory and voluntary organisations, with a dedicated full-time policy officer and a part-time administrator, who meet to address the issues of developing a coherent environmental agenda for the Region. The Forum promotes this shared agenda by providing a new channel for environmental expertise into regional policy processes, such as Regional Planning Guidance and the Regional Economic Strategy.

The Forum has produced:

The Forum is producing
