Email your Local Authority for a GM-Free Britain

No one really knows the possible effects of GM (genetically modified) food on our health and the environment.

The Government will soon be deciding whether to allow:

  • Widespread planting of GM crops
  • More imports of GM food

If GM gets the go-ahead then it will be impossible to guarantee that organic or locally grown food is GM-free.

We believe you should have the right to choose.

Cornwall County Council has gone GM-free

Some councils like Cornwall have already declared themselves GM-Free areas. This means that they have committed to:

  • Advising farm tenants of the Council's anti-GM position.
  • Banning GM food from local food services such as school meals and residential homes.
  • Applying to be excluded from growing certain GM crops
