Real Food

The food we eat

A new resource for teachers and youth group leaders working with young people aged 12-16 years

This exciting new resource gives you the tools to explore sustainable development with young people, helping to develop positive attitudes to citizenship through an everyday product that's close to home but has a global resonance – food.

It is designed to be flexible, fitting into any area of the school curriculum, including literacy, art, ITC, design, science and geography. It's valuable for youth groups too. The activities are designed to fit into your pattern of work, with paper-based, practical, co-operative, fun ideas and activities to stimulate young people to learn as they go.

Excellent information and ideas... I used the Fruit Salad exercise with Year 7, they really enjoyed it!
