Power up 2010 a storming success25 May 2010
The training weekend brought together 50 activists to learn about community rights and environmental justice.
Power Up 2010 blended together some familiar ingredients including:
- Workshops on how communities can use the planning system and legal tools such as Freedom of Information and Judicial review
- New additions including community film making and loud samba drumming workshops
- The chance to gain an insight into a planning enquiry through our Planning committee exercise
- The opportunity for participants to share their local campaigning experiences and ideas.
Overall it was a great learning and sharing experience, providing the perfect opportunity to learn, be refreshed and powered up!
