Chepstow FoE meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm in the Chepstow Athletic Club, Mathern Road, Chepstow.
Directions to Chepstow Athletic Club: At the Larkfield roundabout (junction of A466 and A48) in Chepstow take the High Beech exit. Take first left on to High Beech Lane and follow to the end. The entrance to the Athletic Club is directly opposite the end of High Beech Lane.
Chepstow and District Friends of the Earth was formed in 1992. We have around 15 members, of all ages and backgrounds. We meet informally once a month to discuss environmental issues and plan events.
Please come along and join us.
As well as supporting Friends of the Earth's national campaigns, we are campaigning locally on waste reduction/recycling, climate change, fair trade and transport. Our recycling campaigner is a director of Monmouthshire Community Recycling, the not-for-profit company who run the Black Box kerbside recycling scheme in Monmouthshire. Working with others in the community, we hope to gain Fairtrade Town status for Chepstow. Thanks to a grant from FoE's Local Groups Fund, we have commissioned a study by the Wales Centre for Transport Research into solutions for the congestion problems on the A48 in Chepstow.
