Planet-friendly farmers

Will and Meg holding chick

Many farmers want to be as planet-friendly as possible.

But it can be a challenge due to:

  • demand for cheap meat and dairy
  • reliance on imported animal feed
  • supermarket bullying tactics

Despite these barriers there are lots of UK farmers who are going green.

Some have reduced or stopped using imported soy in animal feed. Others don't sell to supermarkets - dealing instead with the local community.

These solutions and more result in a fairer deal for farmers, consumers and the planet.

Below are some inspirational examples of planet-friendly farmers.
