Local MP backs Brent30 June 2009
Brent Friends of the Earth have managed to get Sarah Teather MP to back their Food Chain Campaign.

She came along to meet them at their stall. And afterwards she put their press release on her website to publicise her support.
Friends of the Earth's call for a move towards planet-friendly farming is welcome - we need to take action to make sure the system works for the planet and for farmers and families in Britain.

The group also did a great job of getting postcards signed - and raising money - with:
- Cakes and plants for sale
- Free recipes
Keeping busy
They also recently met with another local MP, Barry Gardiner. The group felt it was really important to target as many MPs as possible to build up support.
And they've got lots more events planned for the summer - so watch this space for more news from this inspiring group.
