Big success at Bristol Vegan Fayre2 June 2009
Bristol Friends of the Earth have collected an amazing 500 postcards over two days at the Bristol Vegan Fayre.
Visitors were really keen to sign postcards - leading one experienced campaigner to describe it as the easiest campaign he's ever done.
They asked passers by if they would you like to send a postcard to their MP against factory farming. Most people required very little thought to agree.
It was good to see many young people who paused a second to take in the suggestion of communicating with their MP - I expect they had not done it before and it may have helped them to do it again.

Sticky questions
A few people were a bit unsure about some of the messages about supporting planet-friendly meat and dairy farming. This came as no surprise because we know that some vegetarians and vegans might have concerns.
But the need to get lots of political support behind the campaign at this early stage helped convince some of them to fill in a postcard anyway.
Remember to look in your action guide for more information about answering sticky questions.
