Stockport snag their MP12 August 2009
Stockport Friends of the Earth have secured support for their Food Chain Campaign from local MP, Mark Hunter.
They invited him to their stall at the Gatley Festival - and he was very interested in what they had to say.
The Government shouldn't be subsidising big business led factory farms but supporting local farmers who use home-grown sustainable animal feed and farm in a low-impact, environmentally friendly way.

This is great news and follows weeks of brilliant - and colourful - campaigning by the local group.

They even managed to collect over 200 postcards at a stall placed right next to a burger van.
Well done to all the cows, chickens and pigs who helped out!
