Stop supermarkets sneaking GM in
4 August 2011

Currently no GM crops are grown in the European Union for human consumption. But animal feed provides back-door entry for GM products.

Consumer pressure can change supermarkets behaviour.

You can read more about what supermarkets are doing and ask them to do more here.

Soy it ain't so

The Round Table on Renewable Soy (RTRS) is the focus of our actions at the moment.

The RTRS is a scheme that certifies soy for animal feed as sustainable. But it labels GM soy as sustainable.

It also does nothing to prevent the destruction of forests and communities in South America caused by large-scale soy production.

Most UK supermarkets have signed up.

Please take action to ask supermarkets to leave the RTRS
