Make new group members feel welcome with an introductory pack.
Suggestions of what to include in the pack are below.
Some of the inserts need to be ordered online and others are in template form which can be downloaded and adapted to local needs.
1. Welcome letter
Get suggestions of what to include in a welcome letter by downloadng the:
- Welcome letter guide - using Microsoft Word (98K)
- Welcome letter guide - using Quark Xpress (40K)
2. Friends of the Earth information leaflets
Use these to help people understand more about the key issues we're all campaigning on. Order your free copies via our online shop. You might also want to include a Support Us flyer so that they can find out about supporting our work nationally as well as your group locally.
3. Local information sheet
Get suggestions of what to include in an information sheet by downloadng the:

4. Newsletter
Include a copy of your latest newsletter to show new people what you've been working on.
5. Folder
Use a Friends of the Earth A4 folder to hold the contents of the welcome pack. Order your free copies using this form.
Top tip
South Bedfordshire Friends of the Earth's questionnaire for new members asks what issues they're interested in. You could put together a similar survey for your group and include a copy in the welcome pack for new members. This could help make them feel that you are interested in them, and help you tailor how you communicate with them.
