Friends of the Earth's Youth & Education Network25 May 2011
Our Youth and Education Network is a national network of local group members with an interest in young people and environmental education.
The Youth and Education network is run by local group members for local group members.
- Members go into schools and youth clubs all over the country, talking about environmental topics that they think are important and enthusing young people.
- We have resources we can send out, guides about what to do, standard letters and forms to make it easier for you.
- We can give advice by email or on the end of a phone.
- We send out newsletters with ideas, resources and news.
- We also have an online Youth & Education hub where we can network and share ideas.
- We have training days.
- A website is being developed with all of our resources on it.
- We put schools and youth clubs in touch with members of the network if they contact us.
- We do free CRB checks for all members of the network.
Young people are our future - Get them involved!
Next steps
Please note that you must first apply for a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check before you work with young people as a representative of Friends of the Earth - we'll do this for you. Use the links below to read through our Child Protection Policy and other related policies, and to contact the Network to find out more.
