Using film

Our video skillshare plus video activism resources
3 May 2011

On Saturday 2 April we held a video skill-share at our Birmingham office.

Attendees shared their knowledge of :

  • Using a video camera, including shot angles, zoom and other features.
  • Editing a video, adding music, slides and photos.
  • Uploading a video to YouTube.

There was also much discussion on what makes a good video, what makes it eye-catching and how to promote it online. Notes from our skill-share are available.

Attendees are now going to put things they learnt into practice by making their own video to support Birmingham Friends of the Earth's climate campaigning.

Examples of great video activism
