Climate science: Countering the myths12 April 2011
Download Friends of the Earth Cymru's new briefing, "Climate science: Countering the myths" (PDF† format 156K)
Friends of the Earth Cymru believes it is important people are provided with scientifically sound information about climate change, rather than myths and misleading arguments.
A new briefing tackles 10 of the most common misleading arguments, including:
- "Climate change is a natural process"
- "There's no consensus on climate change"
- "Climate change risks are over-stated"
We cannot afford to ignore expert warnings on the risks of climate change. The vast majority of climate scientists agree that man-made climate change is happening.
If nine out of ten pilots said they thought that a plane was likely to crash, no-one would be foolish enough to fly in it.
