Manifesto for a greener Wales18 May 2011
The fourth term of the National Assembly for Wales offers a great opportunity to deliver ambitious environmental policies, and to reap the benefits of the green economy.
Download our Manifesto for a greener Wales.
By taking a lead role in developing a greener society, Wales can:
- Build a stronger economy
- Create more jobs
- Reduce fuel poverty
- Improve health
- Enhance wildlife
The government in Wales needs to ensure that tackling climate change is firmly at the heart of all its policies.
Our manifesto sets out a realistic agenda for the new Assembly Government that offers a vision of a positive future:
- Cutting greenhouse gases by 9 percent per year
- No incineration of waste
- Recycling 80 percent by 2020
- All Wales' electricity from renewable power
- No new nuclear
- Warm homes for all
- Sustainable food production
- Keep Wales GM Free
- Public funds to buy local food
- Environmental Rights Law
