Environmentalists welcome Cefn Croes windfarm decision

Friends of the Earth Cymru support the announcement to approve the Cefn Croes windfarm application.

Neil Crumpton, energy spokesperson for FOE Cymru said:

"We welcome the go-ahead of the Cefn Croes windfarm application. This decision is particularly significant as it comes during the Governments Energy Review where all sides agree that nuclear power and renewables are at an energy crossroads.

Considering the UKs high profile role on the world stage we trust that the Government favours a renewable energy future and does not promote a new nuclear power station programme. Not only is the intergenerational waste issue unresolved, the threats posed by terrorism and nuclear proliferation should be reason enough to abandon this dangerous, toxic technology."
