Over-development in the East of England

The proposed regional masterplan is working to a economic model of growth with little regard for the environmental pressures that the region already faces

Pressure will come from:

  • Increased aiport capacity
    Stansted, Luton, Norwich and Southend have all been earmarked for expansion.
  • Growth in housing and population
    much of this likely to be in the London to Peterborough corridor.
  • Expansion in the road network
    to accommodate this increased economic activity.
