Here are the dates and details of our upcoming training events across the North.

Find out how the planning system can support campaigns against fracking:

  • What to do if there's an application for fracking in your area
  • How to influence your minerals and local plans
  • How to get your council to introduce a policy against fracking.

With Regional Campaigner Helen Rimmer and our Planning Advisor Naomi Luhde-Thompson.

Please email Helen to register or for more details.

Bee Prepared 2013: Building the Buzz

Join us to plan together how we can make the UK 'bee-friendly' from garden to Government, including:

  • The latest news on the causes of bee decline
  • What we're aiming to achieve in 2013
  • How you can be a part of it: from creating bee friendly spaces in your neighbourhood, to inspiring your MP to call for action on bees
  • Preview our resources for schools and young people
  • Get digging and help create a bee-friendly garden at the museum

Speakers include Friends of the Earth Campaigners Sandra Bell and Quentin Given, local beekeepers and researchers.

Future events

Our national Campaigner Get-together is in the diary for 12-14 July in the Peak District (foe.co.uk/gettogether), and so we're looking at rescheduling the Northern Gathering to the early Autumn.

We haven't got other regional get-togethers or local campaign and skills training sessions planned in yet. We'll be in touch soon to get your feedback on events you'd like us to organise this year.

In the meantime do get in touch if you have any comments or ideas.
