Getting there1 May 2013
Here's information to help you plan your journey. We'll update these pages as we have more details.
Timings
The programme at Hartington starts at 14:30. We encourage you to get there early so that you have time to set up or find your way around - especially if you're camping. Any time after 11:00 is perfect.
On the Sunday, shuttles are likely to leave at around 16:00.
Trains and shuttle buses
The nearest train stations are Buxton and Derby. Shuttle buses will be operating from these stations.
We'll ask guests to book their shuttles in May and June, so that we can plan the transport. More to come on this.
Below is what we think is the most effective way to get to and from Hartington, but this might change.
Friday
- Derby to Hartington departing at 11:00, 12:00, 13:15.
- Buxton to Hartington departing at 12:00 (there's also a fast public bus service).
Sunday
- Hartington to Buxton departing at 16:00
- Hartington to Derby departing at 16:00, 17:30.
We'll confirm timings in the next few weeks - including shuttle bus arrival times on the Sunday. All shuttles will be free.
Coach from London
There will be limited places on a bus from London. Places will be chargeable but considerably cheaper than the train.
The bus will leave London at 08:30, arriving at Hartington for around 13:00. It will leave Hartington at 18:00, arriving In London close to 22:00. Please indicate on your booking form if you're interested in this option (first come-first served).
Cycling
Some people plan to cycle the picturesque 15 miles from Cromford to Hartington on Friday 12 July, leaving in groups between 10.30 and 11.30. Please email Chris if you'd like to join them.
Manchester local group members have offered to help people navigate from Buxton station. Please drop an email to Tim for more information.
Please let us know if you'd like to lead a ride from another location.
