Shocked by climate change? Join a new wave of activism in the Midlands18 November 2011
Whether you're a local group member, or an interested individual keen to get involved, come along to ourĀ Gatherings in the Midlands in early 2012.
Have your say on the shape of the day
We want these gatherings to cater to your needs. So, we've set up a blog for you to give us feedback and keep you informed of the event as it develops.
You can also make suggestions for what you'd like to see on our Facebook page or email Tim at the Gatherings Team.
What have we got planned?
In the first part of the day, we'll be offering an introduction to action through our new climate change campaign, Final Demand. For more experienced campaigners, there will be discussions on how we can generate more clean green local energy and how our case against the big energy companies can be built in each community.
But that's not all - later in the day we'll also be:
- bringing you up to date on our other upcoming campaigns, including Bees and Greener Products
- giving you the opportunity to discuss the issues that interest you the most
- creating space for you to share skills, experiences and campaign successes
The Gatherings are a great opportunity to meet or reconnect with like minds and become inspired to take action in your area.

When are the Gatherings?
On 21 January, we'll be at the Nottingham Voluntary Action Centre, Mansfield Road, Nottingham from 11.00.
On 4 February, again from 11.00, it's the turn of the West Midlands. We'll be at the Birmingham & Midland Institute, Margaret Street, Birmingham.
You can book online for the East Midlands and West Midlands events, or e-mail Sara at the Gatherings Team. If you have any special dietary or accessbility requirements, please do let us know.
We look forward to seeing you in Nottingham and Birmingham in the New Year.
