Friends of the Earth is teaming up with the Prince Charles Cinema for a series of special showings of An Inconvenient Truth.

Each screening will give you the chance to quiz a leading politician on climate change.

The next screening is on Monday 19th March at the Prince Charles Cinema, just off Leicester Square, London.

Liberal Democrat Leader Ming Campbell will be there to take your questions on climate change.

We've got a pair of tickets to give away. If you fancy coming  - tell us what you'd like to ask Ming Campbell in a post below.

We'll let you know if you've won by email on Friday 16th.

PS. If you can't make it but still want to enter - just add "can't make it" to your message. If you win - we'll have rummage in our goodie box and send you something by snail mail.

Can't make it:

Your manifesto proposes "green" taxation, where the polluter pays more and ordinary folk pay less.  Presumably this is not only designed to raise money but to persuade polluters to stop polluting. So when polluters are forced to mend their ways, how will the system cope with the resulting reduction in potential income ?

Dear Ming,

The consequences of un-mitigated climate change are so severe, that our national response should transcend party politics. Much of the public will remain unconvinced that they have to take any action themselves while politicians argue about who's got the greenest set of policies. This is a national emergency and I'm convinced the seriousness and urgency mean we should drop inter-party rivalries and set up a "war cabinet" to take control of our response.
My question is - will the Lib Dems take the lead in promoting this idea?

many thanks

Robert

Dear Ming

The Welsh Labour Party have revived John Redwood's plans to build a motorway across important wildlife sites on the Gwent Levels to the south of Newport.  Not only would the wildlife be trashed, the road would massively increase traffic levels and carbon dioxide emissions across south Wales.  If the Lib Dems enter a coalition with Labour after the Assembly elections in May, would you encourage them to drop the road plans?

Thanks,
Julian, Cardiff
