Humour plus green activism = success
I looooove humour. Love love love it. I love it even more if it's green and funny.
The Internet, Twitter and of course YouTube have spawned thousands of hours of funny content (if you search for 'Climate Change' on YouTube, the second most popular video is this brilliant animation).
Just in the past month we've seen:
- Alistair McGowan. The renowned witty impressionist has spent years campaigning on a variety of environmental issues. Check out this recent offering for We Support Solar. Bet you wish you were in that school assembly.
- Our warm homes campaign video starred BAFTA award-winning actor Daniel Rigby on a 'hot date' with Lily James, proving that even energy saving CAN be funny.
- The release of the next Muppets movie trailer with Kermit the Frog (come on... he's funny and he's green!)
But I for one think there's room for more. After all, if Comic Relief can do it then so can the greens.
If you spot anything green and funny, please get in touch as I'd love to hear about it. Any decent ideas may appear in a future blog!
