Welcoming back an old friend

Good news comedy fans - we've a new name on board for our Laugh or the Polar Bear Gets It line-up. We like to think of her as an old friend, as we're welcoming back one of the stars of LIVEstock in 2009 - Francesca Martinez.

This will be a treat for me as I wasn't around for LIVEstock and I've never seen Francesca live. So I asked some colleagues for their opinions.

Their response was incredibly positive - this is one funny lady. Watch this brilliant interview with her for a small taster.

"A few years ago I was at a posh charity function in a nice hotel. There was entertainment laid on including Francesca Martinez. I was sitting on a table with a well known interior designer and his wife. Part of Francesca's act was about how her real ambition was to be a hairdresser. She pulled up the very scared designer to the stage and demonstrated her "skills." The guy in question is well known for his luscious locks so was actually horrified when Francesca started cutting bits off! His wife, and the rest of the audience, thought it was hilarious though..."

Don't worry chaps, we'll make sure we frisk her for scissors before we let her on stage this time!
