Garden goodies
I've just moved out of London and at last have a garden - a small space with not much to say for itself right now but at least it's mine.
However, aside from a serious lack of time (5 hours commuting daily), I'm afraid my fingers are not quite as green as I'd like.
I've been eagerly reading my colleague Dominic's Grow Your Own Food posts and taken advice from my mother-in-law on flowers and plants. But as always I've managed to find an excuse to hit the shops: garden accessories.
I've happily discovered it's not all about gnomes and windmills these days - there are plenty of beautiful garden additions out there and better still, some fantastic eco-friendly products.
Here are some of my favourites:
The Butterfly & Bee Nectar Feeder
A fabulous little find, this colourful and attractive nectar feeding station will attract bees and butterflies. I love it because it is so colourful and it's not that expensive either. Grab it now in our Shop.
Solar garden lights
Already a favourite in many gardens, solar garden lights can make an evening out on the patio something very special indeed. My favourites are these cute butterflies available at the Natural Collection.
Grow your own wine rack
A novel idea which looks set to be a talking point at my next BBQ. Probably intended to be a gift but I shall be justifying this present to myself as a practical much-needed storage solution... From Nigel's Eco Store.
Wormery
Being a fan of pretty things, I thought an attractive wormery for my garden was a bit much to ask for. That was until I stumbled upon this one which is available in a selection of colours. Fantastic stuff, an investment but a great one to make. Available from Vermisell.
