The festival season is in full swing
My colleagues keep insinuating that I've been using sunbeds. I categorically deny this. My tan comes from being involved with Friends of the Earth's summer festivals programme. What an awesome job.
We were recently at Hop Farm - a big thank you to the organisers for inviting us along and to everyone who stopped by our stall to say hi.
Our phone-charging bikes went down a storm. People were really surprised that one bike can charge 25 phones at the same rate as a plug at home. Thanks to Good Energy and Electric Pedals for helping us to organise this and to all the keen pedallers that kept so many phones alive and ringing.
It's was also great to see a huge number of people voting at our nuclear polling booth. It's clear that people of all ages are concerned about the future of the UK's energy supply.
Friends of the Earth's festival schedule is running until September. If you're going to Field Day in London on 6 August, or V Festival in Chelmsford on 20-21 August do swing by the Friends of the Earth stall and compliment me on my tan.
