Mothers Day - green ABC guide
Yes, everyone knows Mothers Day is a cruel marketing ploy. But chances are you probably do want to give your mum a little something.
I confess - apart from our free ecards - I am suggesting you part with some cash here. Hey, that's part of my job. But these gifts have less of an environmental impact than the usual chocs and bouquet. And your money will help support Friends of the Earth's campaigns. Everyone's a winner.
So here's my ABC guide to Mothers Day.
A for ... A bunch of flowers?
Here in the Friends of the Earth office we're coveting this fab designer tea towel. Before you start imagining the twee designs your granny's got, our new Seasonal Guide to British Garden Flowers tea towel is in a different league. If mum loves style and colour, this is a sustainable way of giving flowers. A work of art, it can even hang on the wall.
