We normally meet on the third Thursday of the month at 7.30pm in Aberystwyth. Please contact John on aberystwythfoe@yahoo.co.uk for more details
Following on from a very successful showing of the acclaimed environmental film 'No Impact Man', Aberystwyth Friends of the Earth is progressing with a project to examine our own environmental impact and how we can reduce it as well as encouraging others to reduce their impact.
If you would like to find out more about the film then have a look at: http://gonoimpact.dogwoof.com/
Film summary:
Author Colin Beavan, began the No Impact Project in November 2006. He is a newly self-proclaimed environmentalist who decides he can no long avoid pointing the finger at himself. But can you save the planet without driving your family crazy? The film follows the Manhattan-based Beavan family as they abandon their high consumption 5th Avenue lifestyle and try to live a year while making no net environmental impact.
We are also interested in community renewables and the supermarket plans for Aberystwyth.
