10:10 was a global day of action that highlighted the want to reduce carbon emissions by 10% this year. To support this, Birmingham Friends of the Earth held a 10:10:10 party at their Warehouse building; this wasn't just any party, it was a party that used absolutely no electricity!
People shared home-made food, and were entertained by performers that gave up their time for free: there were story-tellers, and musicians that played acoustically: the whole party utilised no electricity, proving that electricity does not have to fuel our entertainment.
Birmingham Friends of the Earth is a licenced local group of Friends of the Earth England, Wales & Northern Ireland.
