We aim to provide allotments within the Bude area.
We have written to Cornwall Council regarding land they own which could be suitable for allotments. We hold a list of people wanting allotments. If anyone knows of any pockets of land that might be appropriate please contact us.
A meeting was held on Monday 7th February 2011 attended by more than 30 members of the public. It was decided to form an allotment association allied to the National Society of Allotment & Leisure Gardeners Ltd. Details of progress will be announced on this page.
2012 - The South West rep from The National Society of Allotment & Leisure Gardeners came to chair a public meeting on 17th March. We do not expect any help from Bude Town Council who do not own any land or Cornwall Council who do own land but want to put houses all over it.At a meeting on 22nd April we decided to write to the Duchy of Cornwall & National Trust to see if they have any land they would be willing to lease. Land-owners and estate agents are also being asked about available land.
Our next meeting is on Tuesday 22nd May 7.30pm at The Tree Inn, Stratton all welcome.
