Friends of the Earth > Local Groups > Camden
We meet on the first Tuesday of every month at the Pirate Castle,
For more information on our upcoming events, current campaigns, and how you can get involved please check out our website http://www.camdenfoe.org.uk/
We cover the whole of the London Borough of Camden, lobbying Camden council, MPs, businesses and organisations. We get out on the street, as well as campaigning via our computers, taking part in working for positive action with other local groups and talking to local people at community events and festivals.
There are no membership fees and we're open to anyone who wishes to be involved in making environmental justice a reality. Everyone is welcome to join and how much you do is up to you!
Current Campaigns
In 2011 we're focussing on a variety of issues. We've been campaigning on waste & recycling, sustainable transport, we've held a public meeting with our MP about Camden's Energy Future, and an eco street opera. We're also continuing to campaign to get Camden to cut its carbon emissions by 40% by 2020, and we'll be running a 'moving beyond fossil fuels' sustainable transport treasure hunt later in the year!
Come along to a meeting to find out more, and to see how you can get involved!
