To launch the new energy campaign 'Final Demand', Cheltenham Friends of the Earth organised a 'Final Demand' discussion on the 14th March 2012. The local press picked up on the groundswell of interest in the campaign and published an article about it with pictures of group members.
About Final Demand
The energy company rip-off is a national scandal. The Big Six supply 99% of households and make billions in profits by keeping us hooked on expensive dirty fuels. And they have the Government wrapped around their little fingers. It's time for our leaders to stand up to the Big Six and give us energy we can all afford. The discussion
This event was a great opportunity to explore the Final Demand campaign, take a look at local climate change issues, and decide on the action we want to take in our area. Members brought along questions, ideas and personal experiences to help shape local action.
