Regular meetings are held at 8pm on the 'Second Wednesday of every other month' in January, March, May (AGM), July, September & November. Members and non-members are welcome, just turn up on the night. Our meetings are held at Global Footsteps, 16 Portland Street, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire GL52 2PB (map). Portland Street is a continuation of Pitville Street, which joins the High Street close to 'Boots Corner' in the centre of Cheltenham.
The May meeting doubles as our AGM, and in December we have our Christmas Party. To accommodate the number of people attending, both of these meetings are sometimes held at different venues. Details of the venues are announced well in advance. Contact one of the group co-ordinators for more information.
Cheltenham Friends of the Earth is a well established, lively, diverse and growing group, active on all things green. In particular, over the last few years we have campaigned on climate change, GM & real food, biofuels, aviation and waste, on both a local and national level.
Members receive regular newsletters, details of forthcoming events and more.
As a member group of Gloucestershire Friends of the Earth Network we regularly work with our neighbouring local groups in Cirencester, Stroud, Tewkesbury and the Forest of Dean.
This site contains an archive of our old Newsletters and Press Releases.
