20.02.12: Sustainable Hackney launch new website

Sustainable Hackney have today announced the launch of their new website. With your support, they hope that the website will become a useful tool for change in the borough. Combining a social network with news, information and new maps, you can use it to find out what's going on, network and organise.

The site will be home to Tree Musketeers, Hackney Marsh User Group, and the Hackney Community Tree Nursery. They want to host websites for other local organisations who's aims they agree with, so please get in touch if you'd like to be hosted.

  • Click here to register on the new website. This will allow you to post your events, blog, comment, load photos, start a group, and all the other features you expect from a social network.
  • As a member of this email group you will shortly receive an invitation direct from the site, and they'll follow-up with one reminder in a couple of weeks.
  • The Sustainable Hackney Yahoo group will continue as before, so please continue to use it. The Hackney Environment Forum and
Hackney Environment Network websites will remain online to direct people to the new site.
  • Sustainable Hackney will be discussing priorities for action in the coming year at its first AGM on 25th April, so we'd like people to join us as members as well as registering on the website.
  • Please see the invitation to join us from our chair, Russell Miller.

Hackney & Tower Hamlets Friends of the Earth is a licenced local group of Friends of the Earth England, Wales & Northern Ireland.
