27.04.12: Who's the greenest mayoral candidate?

In just 7 days' time Londoners choose who will be their next Mayor.

The result on 3 May will have a big impact on the environment as well as our everyday lives. Over 4,000 Londoners die prematurely every year as a result of the capital's polluted air. FOE want this to change.

So, we've joined forces with Greenpeace to rank the four main candidates' records and commitments on the environment.

Based on air pollution, aviation, climate change, energy, green spaces and transport policies we found that:

• Jenny Jones, Green Party, is the greenest candidate
• Labour's Ken Livingstone is second
• Brian Paddick of the Lib Dems is third greenest
• Conservative Boris Johnson comes last
