Monthly members' meetings

**January and February 2011 meetings**

Our January 2011 meeting will be replaced by our annual re-energising meeting (our AGM), and will be held on Monday 17th January, 6.30pm - 9.30pm, with some food and drinks. All members old and new are warmly encouraged to attend! The meeting will be held at one of our members' houses (Newington Green), so please contact Jen Claydon for more details and the venue.

Our February 2011 meeting will be held on Monday 7th February, normal time, normal place. We hope people will be otherwise occupied on Monday 14th!

Normally, our monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of every month, for old members and new. Meetings start at 6.30pm, and are held at the Friends of the Earth offices, at 26-28 Underwood Street, near Old Street.

We use meetings to:

• Hear reports back from any actions, events or media work the group has been involved with since the last meeting;
• Discuss next steps in each of our current major campaign areas;
• Consider new opportunities to campaign and make a difference in response to current events, news items and day to day circumstances;
• Plan what the group will get involved with over the next few weeks;
• Mop up any other relevant business.

If you're new, please let us know you're coming by contact our coordinator, Kate Hand ([email protected]), or our members secretary, Jen Claydon ([email protected]). We ask new members to come a little earlier at 6.15, so that we have a chance to meet you properly and tell you what we're up to before the meeting starts.

We also hold a re-energising meeting every January, to discuss our achievements over the past year, to plan for the year to come and to discuss the needs and aims of group members.
