Friends of the Earth > Local Groups > Hackney & Tower Hamlets
We hold a stall on the last Saturday of every month, somewhere in Hackney or Tower Hamlets. We hold stalls for a couple of reasons:
a) we want to get out into the local area and raise the profile of our issues, and solutions to environmental justice that we champion;
b) we want to meet local residents and find out their views and concerns around environmental issues;
b) our campaigns often involved asking local residents to sign petitions and/or send postcards to locals MPs and councillors;
b) finally, we're always keen to recruit new members!
Recently we've held stalls in: Chrisp Street, Tower Hamlets (November 2009); Stoke Newington (Hackney, February 2010); Hackney Central (Hackney, March 2010).
Hackney & Tower Hamlets Friends of the Earth is a licenced local group of Friends of the Earth England, Wales & Northern Ireland.
These local group pages are maintained by the groups themselves. Please contact the local group in the first instance.
