01.11.10: Hackney Green Party support Get Serious about C02!

Hackney Green Party are now supporters of the Get Serious about C02 campaign in Hackney, lending their support to a call for 40% carbon emissions reductions in the borough.

Hackney and Tower Hamlets Friends of the Earth believe that all councils need to make ambitious carbon savings in order to avert the catastrophic effects of runaway climate change, both in the UK and internationally. We recognise that Hackney council has made significant steps in tackling carbon emissions, but we believe more can and should be done in light of the dangers climate change presents.
