About us

When and where?

Meetings are currently held on the second Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm. We meet at Hammersmith Information Centre, 20 Broadway Shopping Centre, Hammersmith at the moment but in the near future the Centre may become no longer available to us. We will continue to plan to meet here but if this ceases to be possible we will meet at the Trout pub, opposite the Centre in the Broadway. If you come to the Centre and we are not there, look for us in the pub!

The nearest tube is Hammersmith (Piccadilly, District and Hammersmith and City) 1 minutes walk.

The following buses also stop nearby: 9, 10, 27, 72, 190, 211, 220, 266, 283,295, 391 and H91.

The Hammersmith Information Centre is in the main Hammersmith Broadway Shopping Centre / traffic island, West side, in an external courtyard, 20 metres NW of the Old Trout Pub. From the Information Centre you can see Hammersmith Bridge Road and St Paul's church across the roundabout.

About this group

Whether you want to learn new skills, meet new people or just feel good about yourself, Hammersmith and Fulham Friends of the Earth can hook you up with opportunities that could change your life for the better.

Our current priority campaigns are climate change, energy, renewables and waste and resource use. We campaign on a broad range of other issues including responding to local council plans and challenging local politicians. At the moment we are involved in FoE's Final Demand campaign which focusses on the dominance of the big energy companies in the energy market and we plan to get involved in FoE's other campaigns for 2012, Bees and Biodiversity and Greener Products.

We aim to continue to grow, increase our media profile and awareness raising, do more campaigning with other groups within London and focus on key effective campaigns - in particular taking part in campaigns that are part of a national/international campaign. We are always interested in new ways of doing things and welcome people from all backgrounds and walks of life.

So please check out our website (http://www.foe.co.uk/hammersmithfulham), come along to one of our meetings and get in touch.

Alternatively, if you can't make it to a meeting, please get in touch by e-mail at info@hffoe.org.uk, or by phone Pam on 020 8994 1239. We look forward to hearing from you!
