Friends of the Earth > Local Groups > Harrogate District
Last year, Harrogate joined thousands of towns and cities across Europe to take part in the towns first ever Car Free Day. Widespread support from all parts of the community resulted in the town's roads being noticeably quieter at peak times. The Council's traffic monitoring systems revealed that were over 2,400 less cars on three of the town's roads for that day. As part of the organising committee, the local group is busy helping to organise a bigger and better day in September!
Harrogate District Friends of the Earth is a licenced local group of Friends of the Earth England, Wales & Northern Ireland.
These local group pages are maintained by the groups themselves. Please contact the local group in the first instance.
