Air quality discussions at Green Light festival - 16th March 2013

Poor air quality causes 250 premature deaths a year in Leicester. We had a stall at the Green Light festival of sustainable living and collected people's ideas of what needs to be done to improve poor air quality on a giant piece of paper. As you can see, people had lots of ideas! Suggestions included restricting vehicle access to the city, introducing low emission buses, building more cycle lanes and removing car parks.

We will continue the discussion of what can be done to improve Leicester's air quality at our April meeting, when Jenny Bates from London Friends of the Earth will be visiting.
