Meeting to discuss an air pollution campaign - 16th April 2013

We dedicated our April meeting to talking about the possibility of a campaign around air pollution in Leicester. Jenny Bates, the regional Friends of the Earth campaigner for London, attended and led a discussion about the effects of air pollution on human health, air pollution in Leicester and how we might campaign on the issue. Representatives from the Leicester Cycle Campaign Group and the Campaign for Better Transport also came to share ideas. Friends of the Earth are partners in the Healthy Air campaign and it was suggested that we might like to join other local transport and health groups to form a Leicester branch of the Healthy Air campaign.
