On Saturday, members of the group visited the bee meadow that we planted at the corner of Troon Way and Melton Road in April.
We were amazed to see how well it was growing! A lot of the flowers are already in bloom, including a spectacular display of corn marigolds and cornflowers. A number of pollinators had already discovered the new habitat and we saw damselflies, bees and butterflies visiting the flowers. We removed some thistles and docks so now we will not need to do anything until the September mowing.
